HOLLOWS
Hollows are 'Plus' souls gone wrong that originally live in Hueco Mundo, but often venture to Earth or even Soul Society. A Soul can become a Hollow by two ways. The first is natural.
The first way to become a Hollow is through the 'chain of fate' on a Soul to erode. This is a result of a Shinigami not coming and sending the soul to Soul Society.
The second way is trhough other Hollows forcefully making a soul into a hollow.
Hollows feast on souls, although usually only human. However, it is known to Hollows that Shinigami souls are a delicacy, and therfore sometimes a Hollow shall try to chase after and eat a Shinigami.
Hollows have some distinct features, depending on the type. I shall now explain.
Hollows of the basic kind are simple, with white masks covering their faces and grotesque figures. They may have a special ability or two, but that is rare.
These hollows range from small to huge, completing with the Menos Grande, a humongous hollow with immense power that hardly ever somes out of Hueco Mundo, the Hollow home.
Then there are the Arrancar, which will most likely be the most popular class for those entering into the Hollow division.
Arrancars are Hollows who have removed their mask and obtained shinigami powers, and usually have a humanoid form. However, they start off the weakest. But they can become incredibly powerful. I shall now explain Arrancar a little more fully, since they're almost a different class altogether than Hollows.
ARRANCAR
Arrancars of Bleach Reborn always have some part of their mask intact, and often look a little odd. They also still have their hollow holes.
Arrancar seal their powers into a Zanpakutou, however, these are a little different that you should think. Arrancar Zanpakutou only have one release form, which contains the core of their power as a Hollow. It works similarly to Bankai for the Shinigami in the sense that it shows the true form of the hollow.
So if an Arrancar wants to release their Zanpakutou, they use a callout name for their power, or the word 'ressurection'. They also become half hollow-form, half humanoid. So in other words, they morph into something resembling their original form.
